In German-speaking countries, the Zirbe (Swiss stone pine) is known by various names. In Germany, it is usually called Zirbelkiefer, in Switzerland often Arve or Arbe, Austrians use Zirbe or Zirm, and in South Tyrol, it is even called Petschl-Baum in some valleys.
